Ken Tong


Ken brings over 20 years experience working in the humanitarian and development sector with organisations making global impact. Comfortable working at all levels from the shop floor to the C-suite, Ken’s experience includes deep-field content production and news media relations in Sub-Saharan Africa, Southern Africa, South Asia, and South America; to digital transformation, brand strategies; executive leadership, strategic planning and media training in home offices in Western Europe and North America.

Ken has worked extensively for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), the Mastercard Foundation, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Conservation Union (IUCN), and the World Food Programme (WFP). His areas of focus include strategic communications, project management, strategic planning, innovation and digital transformation, brand marketing, content development, production management, social media and web development, and data/analytics.

He has received awards from MarCom for social media marketing on Facebook, Instagram; Fast Company awards for innovation and digital platforms; Webby/Anthem awards for brand campaigns; and Macromedia/Adobe awards for web development.
