Filipe Faria, CPS, MA, is a Certified Peer Supporter and holds other mental health certifications in Mental Health First Aid and Psychological First Aid. In addition, he has a Master’s Degree in Conflict Analysis in Multicultural Environments with a concentration on Soft Skills methodology and intrapersonal conflict. He has worked in DR Congo, Uganda, and Mauritania and speaks English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish.
From a lived experience perspective, Filipe has PTSD from a hostage-taking situation that he experienced very early on in his humanitarian career in DR Congo.
